1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake

The 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake was a catastrophic quake that happened in the area of San Francisco, California on October 17, 1989, just after 5pm local time. The earthquake caused over 60 deaths and property damage totaling in the billions of dollars. It was reminiscent of the famous 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.
