American Beauty is a 1999 American comedy drama movie. It won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It was directed by Sam Mendes and written by Alan Ball. Starring in this movie are Thora Birch, Annette Bening and Kevin Spacey. This motion picture centres on a dysfunctional middle-class suburban family and their neighbors. It centers on the father's midlife crisis and his infatuation with his daughter's friend.
