Amy B. Smith

Amy Smith is an American inventor, educator, and founder of D-Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her work focuses on development of appropriate technologies. Appropriate technologies are technologies that use readily available local resources to solve problems in developing countries.

Amy Smith was born in Lexington, Massachusetts,[1] on 4 November 1962.[2]
