Arroyo Barril is a Municipal district of Santa Bárbara de Samaná, Samaná province in the Dominican Republic . It is on the south coast of the Samaná Peninsula, on the coast of Samaná Bay.
It was made a municipal district on May 1, 2003.[3]
Population [change]
In the last national census (2010), the district had a total population of 11,007: 5,591 men and 5,416 women. The urban population was 22% of the total population.[2]
Economy [change]
The most important economic activities of Arroyo Barril are the same of the province: agriculture, fishing and tourism.
The Arroyo Barril Airport is in this place; it is a national airport with flights to other airports in the country.
