Arthur Gelb

Arthur Gelb (February 3, 1924 – May 20, 2014) was an American editor, author and executive. He was the managing editor of The New York Times from 1986 to 1989. Gelb wrote articles about playwright Eugene O'Neill. His career began in 1944. He was born in New York City.

Gelb died on May 20, 2014 at his home in Manhattan, New York of complications of a stroke. He was 90.[1]
