The Atacama Desert, in Chile
The Atacama Desert is a desert. It is the world's driest place. It has not rained in parts of it for over 400 years. It is in South America and between the Andes mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Even though the Atacama is the driest place in the world that does not mean it is the hottest. The Atacama Desert is actually a really cold place with temperatures ranging from 0 to 30 degrees.
