Avogadro's number

Avogadro's constant (symbols: L, NA, also known as Avogadro's number) is a number used in chemistry. The number is equal to the number of atoms in 12 grams of the carbon isotope Carbon-12. This number is about 6.022x1023. The number is used to count atoms or molecules in any substance. It was named after the Italian scientist Amedeo Avogadro.
