William Richard Werstine (better known as Billy West)[2][3][4] (born April 16, 1952)[1] is an American voice actor, musician, singer and songwriter. He is known for his voice roles as Professor Hubert Farnsworth, and Dr. John Zoidberg in Futurama and D in Alphablocks. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised in Boston, Massachusetts.[5][6][7] West is divorced from his wife Violet Werstine (known as Violet West).
