Boogie Nights is a 1997 American drama movie. It was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It is set in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The movie is about actors in pornographic movies. Its central character, Dirk Diggler, is played by Mark Wahlberg. The other main roles are played by Julianne Moore, Heather Graham, Burt Reynolds, Don Cheadle, John C. Reilly and William H. Macy. Reynolds won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
