Butler University

Butler University is a private, co-educational university in Indianapolis, Indiana. The university has about 4,512 students. It was founded in 1855. The current president of the university is Bobby Fong.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Bulldogs. They have 17 varsity teams and they compete in the Horizon League in most sports and the Pioneer Football League (PFL) for football. In July 2013, Butler will leave the Horizon League and join the Atlantic 10 Conference (A10). As the A10 does not sponsor football, that team will remain in the PFL.
