Colombo District (Sinhala: කොළඹ දිස්ත්‍රික්කය; Tamil: கொழும்பு மாவட்டம் Koḻumpu Māvaṭṭam) is one of the 25 districts of Sri Lanka. Districts are the second-level administrative divisions of the country.

Colombo District is in the south west of Sri Lanka. It has an area of 699 square kilometres (270 sq mi).[1]
