Czech Republic at the Olympics
The Czech Republic first took part in the Olympic Games as an independent country in 1994. It has competed in every Summer Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games since then. Before 1993, Czech athletes took part in the Olympics from 1920 to 1992 as Czechoslovakia and from 1900 to 1912 as Bohemia.
Athletes from the Czech Republic have won a total of 43 medals at the Summer Games. Canoeing, shooting and athletics have been their best sports. They have also won 16 medals at the Winter Games. Most of their medals came from the Czech Republic national ice hockey team and cross-country skier Kateřina Neumannová.
