Robert William "Dabbs" Greer (April 2, 1917 – April 28, 2007)[1] was an American movie, television, and stage actor. He was known for his role as Old Paul Edgecomb in the 1999 movie The Green Mile. He has also appeared in Broadway plays. Greer was born on April 2, 1917 in Fairview, Missouri. He never married or had children. He died on April 28, 2007 in Pasadena, California from renal failure and heart disease, aged 90 years.[2]
