Dale Evans Rogers (born Lucille Wood Smith; October 31, 1912 – February 7, 2001), best known as Dale Evans, was an American writer, movie actress, and singer-songwriter. She was the third wife of singing cowboy Roy Rogers.

Evans was born in Uvalde, Texas on October 31, 1912.[1] She was married to Thomas Frederick Fox from 1927 until they divorced in 1929. They had a son. She was later married to August Wayne Johns from 1929 until they divorced in 1935. Her third husband was R. Dale Butts. They were married from 1937 until they divorced in 1946. Her last husband was Roy Rogers. They were married from 1947 until his death in 1998. They had one child and 4 adopted children.

Evans died on February 7, 2001 in Apple Valley, California from heart failure, aged 88.
