Debian Package Maker is a program to compile programs from source code to create .deb packages.

Target Mode[change | change source]

The user can manually specify the installation directory and the files to be installed in the target installation directory.

Source Mode[change | change source]

Debian Package Maker will configure the source for the user, compile them and then build a package using the target rules. configure/autogen.sh scripts and Makefile/rules is required for DPM to automate the whole process for the user.
