East India
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
East India is a region of the Republic of India. It includes the states of Bihar,[1][2] Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal. The states of Orissa and West Bengal share some cultural and linguistic characteristics with Bangladesh and with the state of Assam[source?]. Together with Bangladesh, West Bengal formed the ethno-linguistic region of Bengal before partition in 1947.
