Edward Byrne Breitenberger (July 30, 1932 – January 8, 2020), known professionally as Edd Byrnes, was an American actor and singer. He was best known for his starring role in the television series 77 Sunset Strip and for his role as Grease as Vince Fontaine. Byrnes was a recording artist, his best known work was "Kookie, Kookie (Lend Me Your Comb)".

Byrnes died of a suspected stroke on January 8, 2020 in Santa Monica, California at the age of 87.[1]
