Description
English: A fragment of painting Boyarynya Morozova by Vasily Surikov depicting a defiant Old Believer arrested by the Czar's authorities in 1671. She holds two fingers raised: a hint of the old "proper" way of crossing oneself: with two fingers, rather than with three.
Nederlands: Een schilderij van Boyarynya Morozova gemaakt door Vasilij Surikov. De afbeelding toont een Oudgelovigen die door de Tsaar wordt gearresteerd in 1671. Zij houdt twee vingers in de lucht: een hint naar de ouden, dwz de "echte" manier om een kruis te maken (twee in plaats van drie)
Magyar: Egy részlet Vasily Surikov Boyarynya Morozova c. festményéből. Egy a Cári hatóságok által letartóztatott, dacos “Régi hitü” orosz-ortodox keresztényt ábrázol 1671-ből amikor az orosz-ortdox vallást Nikon Pátriárka megreformálta. A változást sokan nem szívlelték, ezek nevezik régi hitüeknek. A festményen látható nő(Bojárina?) annak jeléül tartja a magasba két ujját, hogy az igazi azaz a régi keresztvetést két nem pedig három ujjal kell végezni.
