Español: La Compañía de Jesús, también conocida como La Compañía es una iglesia católica de estilo barroco situada en el centro histórico de la ciudad de Quito, en Ecuador. Es una de las obras más significativas de estilo barroco en la arquitectura Sudamericana. Además fue la sede de la orden jesuita en este país y también albergó en el pasado un colegio. Después de la expulsión jesuita del Ecuador, muchos textos que narraban la historia y ejecución de esta obra arquitectónica se extraviaron.1 La construcción de la iglesia con el patrocinio de la Compañía de Jesús inició en el año de 1605 bajo las órdenes del sacerdote Nicolás Durán Mastrilli, y concluyó en 1765. Como resultado la edificación de esta obra arquitectónica duró 160 años.2 En 1634, el jesuita Gil de Madrigal realizó el crucero pero las obras cobraron impulso con la llegada del hermano Marcos Guerra en 1636, quien era arquitecto y escultor.
