Summary

Description 1911年（明治44年）4月、開通したばかりの新しい日本橋を見物する人々。開通式の4月3日は雨であったようで、画像は開通当日ではない（？）。手前の木造橋は本体工事期間に利用された仮設橋。左奥には当時のランドマークの仁丹塔があり、その手前にある多数の桶を重ねたものは、日本橋魚河岸の有志らが自主作成した伝統的な祝い飾りで「祝開橋」の文字が見える。
