Gary Hart (born Gary Warren Hartpence; November 28, 1936) is an American politician, lawyer, author, professor and commentator. He was the United States senator of Colorado serving from 1975 through 1987. He ran in the United States presidential elections in 1984 and again in 1988 for the Democratic Party.

Hart was born Garry Warren Hartpence in Ottawa, Kansas.[1]
