Gay bashing and gay bullying is a pattern of behavior. It is about an imbalance of social, physical or other power involving a person or group who is gay or lesbian or bisexual or transgender.[1]

Studies show that bullying happens to people who are gay or lesbian more often than to others in general. As teens, gay young men are more likely to be bullied than lesbians. [2]

Hate crime[change | edit source]

Gay bullying can become a type of hate crime or hate speech.
