Gene Tierney

Gene Eliza Tierney (November 19, 1920 - November 6, 1991) was an American actress. She was born in Brooklyn, New York City.

She starred in Heaven Can Wait, Laura, Leave Her to Heaven, The Razor's Edge, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Whirlpool, The Mating Season and The Left Hand of God.

Tierney's autobiography was published in 1979. She had bipolar disorder. She was a heavy smoker who died of emphysema in Houston, Texas.
