George Mason University is a public university in Fairfax, Virginia. The university has about 32,562 students. It was founded in 1957. The current president of the university is Alan G. Merten.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Patriots. They have 22 varsity teams and they compete in the Colonial Athletic Association.
