Georgia O’Keeffe (November 15 1887 – March 6 1986) was an American artist who was born near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, U.S.[1]

She is mainly known for her modernist paintings. These paintings use both abstract and concrete elements.

  • Concrete means that objects can be recognized. For example, she painted flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones and landscapes.
  • Abstract means that there may be colors and forms, but nothing real can be seen in the pictures.
