Guilan is a small province in Iran. It covers about 1% of the total area of Iran (14711 kms). Guilan has a population of 2,410,523 and the population density is 172 people per square kilometer. There are many cities in Guilan, including Rasht (at its center), Lahidjan, Anzali, and Rudsar. The Caspian Sea borders the North of Guilan.
