The Haifa Metro or Carmelit (after name of Mount Carmel (Hebrew: כַּרְמְלִית) is the first Metro train in Israel. opened in 1959 after 3 years of Construction and was closed from 1986 to renovations until 1992. the metro has only two lines from the sea to Mount Carmel.
