Harald zur Hausen
Harald zur Hausen was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, 11 March 1936. He is a German virologist and professor emeritus. He won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2008 for his discoveries on the role of papilloma viruses which he shared with Luc Montagnier and Françoise Barré-Sinoussi.
