Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is a buffalo jump in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains about 18 km northwest of Fort Macleod, Alberta, Canada. The plains Indians used Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump for over 5,500 years to kill buffalo. Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and became one in 1981.
