Hereditary disease

A hereditary disease is a disease which can be passed down through generations of the same family.

For example, if a man has cystic fibrosis, any children he has might have it too. These diseases are passed on through generations of people from their ancestors. Some incurable hereditary diseases are sickle-cell anemia and hemophilia.
