Hermit thrush (Catharus guttatus) is a common bird that is found in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The size of one is 15 to 17 cm. It has a brown head. It is closely related to the Mexican Russet Nightingale-thrush. They are mainly brown and have a reddish tail. Underneath they are white with some dark spots. They have pink legs. The hermit thrush is the state bird of Vermont.
