Jessica Tandy

Jessica Tandy (June 7, 1909 - September 11, 1994) was an English-American actress. She was born in Hackney, London. She starred in many movies during her career, including 1985's Cocoon, 1989's Driving Miss Daisy (for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress) and Fried Green Tomatoes (a 1991 movie starring Kathy Bates). Tandy died of ovarian cancer in Easton, Connecticut.
