Jiří Tlustý (born March 16, 1988 in Slaný, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech NHL ice hockey left winger. He currently plays for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Before playing in the NHL, Tlustý played 1 season with HC Kladno of the Czech Extraliga and 1 season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 13th overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He played 3 seasons with the Maple Leafs.

The Maple Leafs traded Tlustý to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Philippe Paradis.[1]
