Jim Thornton

Jim Thornton (born March 8, 1965) is an American radio and television personality. He is currently an afternoon anchor on all-news radio station KNX 1070 in Los Angeles, California.[1] He is also the announcer on television game show Wheel of Fortune. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, United States.

Thornton became announcer of Wheel of Fortune in September 2011. He auditioned for the role in December 2010 after previous announcer Charlie O'Donnell's death. He was confirmed as the show's new announcer on June 13, 2011.[2] He was also a guest announcer on The Price is Right after previous announcer Rod Roddy's death in 2003.
