John C. Stennis

John Cornelius Stennis (August 3, 1901 – April 23, 1995) was was an American politician. He was the United States senator of Mississippi.[1] He served as senator from 1947 to 1989. He was a member of the Democratic Party. The USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) is named after him. He served in the senate for 47 years.

Cranston died in Jackson, Mississippi from natural causes, aged 93.
