John Whitehead

Sir John Stainton Whitehead GCMG CVO (born 1932) is a British diplomat and businessman.[1]

Whitehead joined the British Foreign Service in 1955.[2]
He was Ambassador from the United Kingdom to Japan (1986 - 1992).[2]
After his retirement from the diplomatic service, he was a senior advisor to Deutsche Bank, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and other international companies.[3]
He became Chairman of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Trust Bank (Japan).[3]
