Jonathan Rosenbaum (born February 27, 1943) is an American movie critic, journalist, and historian who used to work for the Chicago Reader until his retirement in 2008 at the age of 65.[2]

Rosenbaum was born on February 27, 1943 in Florence, Alabama.[3] He was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He studied at The Putney School and at Bard College. He was never married. He now lives in Chicago, Illinois.
