Kate Elizabeth Winslet (born 5 October 1975, in Reading, Berkshire) is an English actress and singer. She is best known for her starring role in the American movie, Titanic and for her starring turn in Peter Jackson's Oscar-nominated movie Heavenly Creatures (1994).
