Kazuhiko Chiba (千葉 和彦, Chiba Kazuhiko, born June 21, 1985) is a Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.

Biography[change | change source]

Chiba was born in Hokkaido on June 21, 1985. After graduating from Nissei Gakuen Daini High School, he moved to Netherlands and joined Eerste Divisie club AGOVV Apeldoorn in 2004. In June 2005, he moved to Dordrecht. However he returned to Japan in August and signed with J1 League club Albirex Niigata. He played many matches as center back from 2007. He played 147 matches for Niigata in 7 seasons. In 2012, he moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Hiroshima won the J1 League champions in the 2012, 2013 and 2015. In 2019, he moved to Nagoya Grampus. However he could hardly play in the match. In 2021, he re-joined Albirex Niigata in J2 League.

In July 2013, Chiba was selected the Japan national team for 2013 East Asian Cup. At this tournament, he debuted against Australia on July 25.
