Ludwigsstadt is a municipality in the district of Kronach, in Bavaria, Germany. It is in the Frankenwald, 28 km (17.4 mi) north of Kronach, and 18 km2 (6.9 sq mi) south of Saalfeld. Its population is around 4,000 people. Its mayor is Gert Bayerlein.
