Madagascar (2005 movie)

Madagascar is a 2005 computer-animated movie made by Dreamworks. The story is about a group of animals from the zoo in Central Park, New York City. The main characters are Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer) and Gloria the Hippotamus (Jada Pinkett Smith). With the penguins Skipper (Thomas "Tom" McGrath), Private (Christopher Knights), Kowalski (Chris Miller) and Rico (John DiMaggio) also living in the zoo, they end up in Madagascar with King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen), Maurice (Cedric the Entertainer) and Mort (Andy Richter). The movie has two sequels: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, as well as a Christmas special, a spinoff series, and the movie of the same name.

Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Skipper the Adelie penguin, Private the Chinstrap penguin, Kowalski the Emperor penguin, Rico the Gentoo penguin, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippopotamus become best friends and the Giant monster scare Fossas away in the movie.

A video game titled Madagascar, is an adaptation on the same name of the movie. Release in 2005 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo DS, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and Microsoft Windows.
