The Margalla Hills is a mountain range in the lesser Himalayas. They are north of Islamabad. The Margalla Range has an area of 12,605 hectares (31,150 acres). The hills are an 'off shoot' or linked part of the bigger Murree hills. It is a range with many valleys as well as mountains. Its highest peak is Tilla Charouni, in its eastern end, which is 1,604 metres tall. The range has an average elevation of 1000 metres. The range gets some snow in some higher places in winters.

The Margalla National Park which borders Islamabad city, is also in the Margalla Hills.
