Martin Edward Elkort (April 18, 1929 – November 19, 2016) is an American photographer, illustrator and writer. He is best known for his street photography. Many of his works are held and displayed by several well known art museums in the United States.

Elkort was born in the New York City, New York borough of The Bronx. He grew up during the Great Depression. He married Edythe in 1953. He now lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife.[1]
