Matt Groening
Matt Groening is an American cartoonist. He created the TV show called The Simpsons about a dysfunctional family which do not get along together and are always getting into trouble. The Simpsons is a very popular television show which is currently in its twentieth series. It has won many awards and is the longest running cartoon ever. He also made a show called Futurama which is set in the future.
Early Life[change]
He was born on February 15, 1954 in Portland, Oregon,the middle of five children. His Mother Margaret Ruth was once a teacher and his father Homer Philip Groening was a filmmaker, advertiser, writer and cartoonist.
Matt grew up in Portland, and attended Ainsworth Elementary School, Lincoln High School and also The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
