Michael Kort

Michael Kort (born 1944) is an American historian. After studying at John Hopkins University and New York University, he eventually became a professor at Boston University. He specializes in Soviet history.

Kort's books include biographies of Nikita Krushchev and Mikhail Gorbachev, as well textbooks about the Soviet Union. Other nonfiction books include The Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union and Marxism in Power.[1]
