Musky Rat-kangaroo

The Musky Rat-kangaroo, Hypsiprymnodon moschatus, is a small marsupial species found in the rainforests of northeast Queensland, Australia. It moves by extending its body and then bringing both of its hind legs forward. It eats fallen fruit and large seeds, as well as small vertebrates. Its body is about 23cm in length and its tail about 14cm.[1] They weigh about 530 grams.[2]
