Phil Knight is an American businessman who was one of the first owners of Nike, Inc. with Bill Bowerman. In 2008, he had a net worth of US$ 10.5 billion and was the 31st richest person in the United States.[1] Phil Knight also played track in high school and thats why he made the shoe.
