Pietarsaari (Swedish: Jakobstad) is a city in Ostrobothnia, Finland. As of January 2014, almost 20,000 people lived there. The municipalities next to it are Luoto, Pedersöre, and Uusikaarlepyy. Kokkola is also nearby.

Pietarsaari was established in 1652. The people speak two languages: Finnish and Swedish.
