Portland State University is a public university in Portland, Oregon. The university has about 27,972 students. It was founded in 1946. The current president of the university is Wim Wiewel.

The men's athletics teams of the university are called the Vikings. They have 14 varsity teams and they compete in the Big Sky Conference.
