Quvenzhané Wallis (born August 28, 2003) is an American actress. Wallis' first movie was Beasts of the Southern Wild. She got nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. This made her the youngest person ever to be nominated for the award.[1] In January 2013, Boneshaker, a short film, was released. Wallis plays Blessing in it. Wallis played Margaret Northup in the 2013 movie 12 Years a Slave. Wallis is going to play Annie in a remake of the musical Annie. It is being filmed currently. It is going to be released in 2014. Wallis does the voice of Almitra in the animated movie The Prophet. It will be released in 2014.

Wallis was born in Houma, Louisiana.
